Advice: One of the most important things I have learned these past couple years is to surround yourself with friends who support you and can enjoy the struggles of pharmacy school with. It's equally as important to remember to take care of yourself. Take breaks, do something you love, go out and have fun whenever you can because your mental health really does matter!

Fun Fact: I love to travel and bake!

Best Advice: Study in a group and try to take time out of your busy schedule to relax as much as possible!

Fun facts: I have never had a cup of coffee. My favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip. The most interesting classes I've taken at Rutgers have been "Fairy Tales Then & Now" and "Politicizing Beyonce".

One of my favorite things to do is to travel and explore new places with family and friends! I enjoy it all, from hiking at a National Park to relaxing on a tropical beach! Even though life can get busy, never stop doing the things you enjoy!

Fun facts: I moved to America when I was 14 years old. I may or may not have 2 birthdays.

Advice: Find time for yourself and what makes you happy OUTSIDE of school and pharmacy! It’s so easy to get caught up with school and work and everything else that you forget to also take care of yourself. I promise you - in the end, we’ll all get our degrees, all be pharmacists, and all get jobs. Everything will be okay!

Fun facts: I have been on the Rutgers rock climbing team since freshman year. I have been to over 30 states and a dozen countries. Neptune night is my favorite day at the dining hall.

I’m an old person at heart! I love to knit, sew, read, and watch the Great British Baking Show (I promise I’m fun 😁😁)

Goals: To pursue a residency and ultimately work as a clinical specialist.

Advice for Underclassmen: Trust in the things that you know and only spend time making study guides/studying for the things you need to know.

The way I went through pharmacy school is how I plan to live the rest of my life: the only limitations I have are those I put on myself. I knew P2 year was going to be hard, and once I accepted that, and also told myself that I would still have to do everything else I wanted to do, I allowed myself to rise to the situation. Face the reality to avoid frustration, and don't use the word "can't".

I'm a first generation college student. Neither of my parents were born in the US or got a college degree. My family owned a Chinese takeout restaurant, which I often ate for dinner so chinese-american takeout is the same as home cooked food to me. I'm allergic to cats, but I still want to get a hypoallergenic breed. ​I love technology! My future aspiration is to be an informatics pharmacist.

I’m just your typical pharmacy student who stresses out over little things and procrastinates to the very last moment. I love to explore new places and want to travel the world. As for the future, I have no idea what I want to do but am hoping to find what I am passionate about in the next few years.

In my free time, I like to stay busy with anything that allows me to be creative, and I try to consistently stay active by going to the gym or playing sports like volleyball. After graduation, I hope to participate in a PGY-1 residency. Fun fact: I have a Shiba Inu, a hamster, and 2 bearded dragons.

My name is Osamah Rasheed. I am fortunate enough to be able to attend pharmacy school here at EMSOP because of the EOF program. I want to be able to give back to this wonderful program in the future to help less fortunate students in their pursue for higher education just as I have been helped.

My favorite form of expression is dance - it’s the way I express myself when words aren’t sufficient. My parents say that I’ve been dancing since way before I could even stand on my own two feet. I hope to keep dancing even after my career takes off! 

I am an only child, but my mom and dad are my parents, siblings, best friends, all in one!

I love exploring new places and try to visit a new destination with every chance I get. I am a skier and an open water certified scuba diver. During my time in pharmacy school, I’ve enjoyed being involved with the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and APhA-ASP/International Pharmaceutical Students Federation. Pharmacy has been a great opportunity for me to combine my interest in healthcare with topics like drug information and public health.

I'm super excited to complete my final year of classes and continue my journey towards a career in pharmacy.

I'm really into graphic design, 3D modeling, and book binding. I also like writing and statistics. I'm a vegetarian and I studied psychology before coming to Rutgers.

I like doing crossword puzzles, going to the beach, and re-reading the Harry Potter book series once a year. I also like Pokémon Go and watching the Yankees. My apartment is decorated with beakers and Erlenmeyer flasks filled with fake flowers. I studied biology and tutored in genetics before coming to Rutgers.

My ideal day outside of the pharmacy world involves laying on the couch with my parents and two younger siblings, talking about anything and everything, and binge watching television. Of course, we would probably spend most of the time arguing about who has control of the remote. Don't forget where you came from; family is everything.

Whenever I see something interesting on TV, I try to do it. For example, I got into bowling, I try cooking things that look yummy, and recently I saw a clip of a person making candles so I'm trying that soon. It's usually a phase that doesn't last that long but I think it's still fun and exciting to try something new every once in a while.

I enjoy reading, baking cookies, and watching courtroom drama movies in my spare time, which is almost non-existent. I try to read at least 3 novels (fiction or nonfiction) every year. My favorite book-to-film adaptation is To Kill A Mockingbird.

My name is Holly, and a few of my favorite things are sunflowers, rabbits, and matcha-flavored sweets. A special hobby of mine is composing music for piano, and my other performance instruments are flute and classical guitar. I greatly admire the world of medicine, and am looking forward to pursuing and polishing my understanding of both homeopathic and modern remedies.
